One of my favorite photographers over the past decade has been Michael Wolf - especially the population density images. Whats most impressive is seeing them in a gallery - the extra large scale of the images with the vertical lines and window patterns made by the architecture pulls one in.

Growing up near the plains of North Dakota with its open fields and and low density living, its hard to imagine living life around the sheer quantity of people.

There's nothing better than waking up on sunday morning and having a nice cup of coffees to start the day.

The classic see no evil, hear no evil, thumbs-up to evil pose.

Recently I was turned on to a dutch photographer by a NYC photographer friend. His does amazing commercial work. I find his style dark but with a slightly twisted sense of humor.

This image - and the series - is inspiring.

ERWIN-OLAF-2203

After spending time in Stockholm, WI, Jeff and I drove to Chicago to enjoy the rest of the holiday weekend. My plans to have a weekend of photographing the stunning architecture.. In reality, it was weekend of eating and drinking at the many great establishments the city has to offer. This is the one image I took on the trip.

Over Memorial Day weekend the timing was perfect for picking morel mushrooms in the forests of Wisconsin. Despite being the ugliest little things, they tasted delicious and photographed quite well. Also, fresh from the farms garden were recently sprouted asparagus. Thank you Jeff and John for letting my photograph you and the spoils from your land!

Thanksgiving 2012

A snap shot of the family pre-Thanksgiving dinner. With that being said, on an overcast afternoon, this condo has the best diffused natural light for photographing people.
